Verizon TravelPass
Traveling abroad can be an exciting adventure, but staying connected can often be a challenge. With Verizon's TravelPass, you can take your talk, text, and data allowances with you, making it easier to stay in touch and navigate your new surroundings.
What is Verizon TravelPass?
TravelPass is a service offered by Verizon that allows you to use your domestic talk, text, and data allowances while traveling outside the United States.
With TravelPass, your phone can work just like it does at home. The service is available in more than 185 countries worldwide, including popular travel destinations like Canada, Mexico, Europe, and the Caribbean.
How Does It Work?
TravelPass activates once you make or receive a call, send a text, or use data. The service is available for a 24-hour session, and the clock starts ticking once you use your phone. If you're traveling to multiple countries within a single day, you'll only be charged for one TravelPass day.
The cost of TravelPass is $5 per day per line in Mexico and Canada and $10 per day per line in other countries. However, these charges only apply on the days you use your device. If you don't use your phone, you won't be charged.
How to Add TravelPass to Your Line
Adding TravelPass to your line is straightforward. You can add it through the My Verizon app or website, or you can text "TRAVEL" to 4004.
Once added, the service will be available for use whenever you travel to a country where TravelPass is available.

Once you've added TravelPass to your line, you don't need to do anything else to use it. The service will automatically activate when you use your device in a TravelPass country.
You don't need to opt in every day; TravelPass will only trigger a new 24-hour session if you use your device.
Managing Your Data
TravelPass allows you to use your domestic data allowance while abroad. If you reach your daily high-speed data limit, your data speeds will be reduced.
However, your high-speed data allowance will reset at the beginning of each 24-hour session.
Returning Home
When you return to the US, there's no need to cancel TravelPass. The service will remain on your line and will only activate if you use your device in a TravelPass country.
This means you can leave TravelPass on your line and it will be ready for your next trip.
